Welcome to Wichita Work Camp

Wichita Workcamp 2010

WWC is an annual service project sponsored by the Wichita area Churches of Christ that brings teenagers, college students, and adults together to repair, scrape, and paint homes for people in need. Workers pay a fee to participate which covers the cost of supplies and enables us to paint each house for free. This year, Wichita Workcamp will be based at the Northside Church of Christ.

Wichita Workcamp is your opportunity to put the principle of Christ-like service into action. Christians are called by Jesus to be servant-hearted. Jesus commanded it this way “…whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave-- just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:26-28). At Wichita Workcamp, our slogan is “Serving God By Serving People.” We invite you to join in the adventure and make a lifelong impact.

"Serving God by serving people"

Summer 2012 will be here quicker than you know it. Last summer (2011), over 200 workers completely scraped and re-painted 15 homes in the Wichita area and left a huge impact on the city. Workcamp was on a couple of radio stations and the camera crews were out to witness salt and light in action! All was done to the glory of God and His kingdom.

This year will be the 5th year for the week-long service project where area churches of Christ come together as the body of Christ to live, love and serve like Jesus. If you came in 2008, 2009, 2010 or 2011, we are looking forward to seeing you again in 2012. If you've never come to Wichita Workcamp, consider this your invitation to join us in letting God use our hands and feet in the community of Wichita, KS. Workcamp 2012 will be on June 4-8. Our theme this year is ReMade.

You should find everything you need on this website. We are glad you came by and we hope to get to see you in person in June 2012!
